Pride And Joyy: Top Rope Horse Of 2024

'Kilo', the six year old roan stallion, had a year that marked his rise to being one of the greatest of all time. He crossed the line to become QData's All-Time Leading Money-Earning Rope Horse Stallion and ended the 2024 season as the #1 Money-Earning Rope Horse Stallion of 2024.

"Pride And Joyy stormed through 2024, winning from start to finish."

Pride and Joyy, piloted by Relentless Remuda's Miles Baker and the 26-time World Champion Trevor Brazile since his debut in the roping pen, has shone brightly since his entrance into the arena in 2022 with Chris Dawson. He won just over $50,000 as a reined cow horse, making the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity Finals, as well as being the 2022 RCHA Firecracker Futurity Champion.

His performance at the Snaffle Bit Futurity Finals is where Miles Baker first laid eyes on the bay roan stallion by Stevie Rey Von, recognizing that he had all the qualities Baker looks for in a top-of-the-line rope horse. That night, he told Trevor Brazile that there was one horse he loved out of the field of 30 and that he had a good feeling about him. In early 2023, Ty Smith (CEO of Solo Select) called Miles to tell him there was a horse he needed to come try. Upon finding out it was the stallion he had watched run down the fence just months before, Miles told Ty he didn’t even need to come look—he wanted him in the Relentless Remuda barn.

"I always knew he had the makings of a horse that could change the rope horse industry," Miles said. It's safe to say that gut feeling he had - was right.

Kilo took to his new career naturally, winning over $99,000 in the first five months he competed. As soon as the 2024 season started, his winning streak picked back up where it left off. Jeremy Buhler rode him to his first impressive victory of 2024 in February at the Royal Crown Roping Futurity in Buckeye, Arizona. He continued to add money to his growing lifetime earnings at nearly every roping he entered and took another impressive win at the American Rope Horse Futurity in Houston under Buhler. By July, following the Old West Roping Futurity in Utah, his earnings were sitting at $219,000, and by September, heading into the AQHA World Show, he was sitting at $273,000.

After his World Championship victory? $313,423

Of that, $263,289 has been won on the heel side.

The AQHA World Champion title and signature Golden Globe came with a big check, securing the title of QData's #1 ALL-TIME Leading Money Earning Rope Horse Stallion, the #1 Leading Money Earning Rope Horse Stallion of 2024 and Top Heel Horse of 2024.

Pride And Joyy's 2024 season was just the begining, with 2025 shaping to be the the same - if not better. His first foals have officially began to hit the ground, already exhibiting the same impressive features that sets him apart. With his first crop here, and the 2025 season fast approaching, there is no telling the things awaiting the stallion who has already made history.
