Pride And Joyy Now Owned by Kaleb Terlip, Relentless Remuda and Solo Select

Kaleb Terlip has joined Solo Select and the Relentless Remuda in their partnership on Pride And Joyy, the standout 2019 stallion who's already amassed some $164,090 in earnings after his Royal Crown 6 & Under Futurity dominating win on February 8th. He won two of the three rounds, and finished 12 points ahead of the pack in the average.

Pride And Joyy, by Stevie Rey Von out of Fun N Fancy Free by Peptoboonsmal, won third at the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity in 2022 with Chris Dawson before coming into the Remuda and Solo program in 2023, making a splash immediately in the rope horse futurities and winning the Royal Crown Heeling in Rock Springs, Wyoming.

Terlip also is Solo Select's partner on one of the Western performance industry's all-time leading stallions, Woody Be Tuff.

“The deal with Melanie and Ty with Woody Be Tuff has been really good," Terlip said. "We’re three different people with three different strengths, and we all stay where we’re good at. With Trevor and Miles being involved, and the quality of their program, and Trevor as part of the OE Nutraceuticals Team, it’s a lot of people who knew each other and had confidence in our own skillsets. So it made a lot of sense for all of us."

"On a business level, it’s an opportunity to get with people who do good business." — Kaleb Terlip, partner on Pride And Joyy

For Solo Select and Relentless Remuda, bringing Terlip on as a partner on Pride And Joyy was a chance to expand their business with another savvy co-owner.

"Kaleb has proven his ability to invest in great stallions with Woody Be Tuff and Pride And Joyy and as a savvy businessman with OE Nutraceuticals," 26-time World Champion Trevor Brazile said. "He's passionate about expanding the rope horse industry, and we've got the same goals: advancing the genetics of team roping horses and raising and training better horses."

Pride And Joyy will remain in training with the Relentless Remuda, and he will maintain a busy show schedule with the team for 2024. Standing at Solo Select, Pride And breedings are ICSI-only, as performance is paramount at this stage of the stallion's career.
