Pink Buckle Stallion Sheik Jean Fly HTT set to join Solo Select Stallion lineup in 2025

As Solo Select wrapped up their first season standing their select lineup of stallions in 2024, the full service facility announced that they were accepting applications to stand outside stallions in 2025. With the success of their 2024 season and the new, state-of-the-art, stallion barn going up, Solo Select looked to bring in elite stallions to continue leveling up the entire western industry. The first to join? An outcross coming from Brazil's leading bloodlines - Sheik Jean Fly HTT.

The 2014 stallion came to the United States in 2021 following an impressive career in Brazil where he would find himself clocking consistent 16 second runs on a standard pattern against some of the fastest horses in the world. Upon his arrival in the U.S. he continued running under leading futurity trainers Kassie Mowry and Hallie Hanssen.

"

Sheik has run top 1D times with three different jockeys. That is a huge reflection of his athleticism and willingness to please.

" - Kassie Mowry

"When we announced the stallion applications for 2025, we knew we would be extremely selective to the horses and programs we chose to fill our new stallion barn with," said Melanie Smith, owner and founder of Solo Select Horses. "We have carefully interviewed many owners, and have chosen a handful that have interests that align with ours. We want stallion owners that are committed to their horses 110%. This is crucial for the success of the stallion, but most importantly - it is mandatory for our mare owners. They are making a commitment to our program and these stallions, and we want them to feel confident that they have the backing of a stallion owner and Solo Select when it comes time to market their foals. When Garrett Henry of 88 Ranch Performance Horses came forward to stand Sheik here for 2025, we felt BOTH the horse and the owners would be a strong addition to our already great lineup. He is an outcross on almost all of today's mares, bringing back old school running lines that are hard to find."

"

Sheik is one of the lightest, smartest, and most willing stallions I've ever been on. His mind, speed and desire to please makes him the total package.

"

                                                  - Hallie Hanssen

Sheik is sired by Brazil's #1 leading sire, Victory Fly Vm 01Ibr, and out of Tiny Martha Jean. Tiny Martha Jean won over $20,000+ (recorded via Q-Data) in her career between 1998-2005. She is by $1.5 million dollar sire, Marthas Six Moons and a granddaughter to leading Broodmare Sire and Champion, Tiny Watch. Sheik Jean Fly HTT brings some of the best bloodlines from Brazil to the United States, giving him a unique edge on the rest of the industry - being a COMPLETE outcross on most of today's mares.

Sheik's foals are eligible to run for MILLIONS in incentive money, from Pink Buckle to Royal Crown. His oldest crop are yearlings, and he has been crossed on some of the MOST elite mares in the industry, including Jimmie Smith's Lena On The Rocks (LTE $350,000+ NFR Round Winner), Brittney Sporer's NFR and Pro-Rodeo mare - Paint, Patrionic Dash (LTE $1,033,709), and many others.

After a successful breeding season at 113 Equine with Dr Skeet Gibson and the exceptional crew there, Solo Select Horses is excited to welcome Sheik Jean Fly HTT to the stallion lineup. 2025 Contracts are coming soon! You can get on his waitlist here.
