Sunday, January 11th, The Solo Select Sale went live with a group of elite embryos. The sale topper, a 2025 Embryo by the standout performer The Darkk Side and out of Select Genes mare Chars Gun, who is the dam to the #1 ALL TIME WINNINGEST FUTURITY MARE, Relentless PYC, earner of over $165,000 - sold for $46,000.
The sire to this embryo needs no introduction. The Darkk Side has earned around $190,000 thus far in his career, accumulating multiple Futurity Champion titles and a AQHA World Champion title. The stallion, by Once In A Blu Boon out of the #1 Dam Of Rope Horses in 2024 and #2 All-Time Leading Dam Of Rope Horses, DT Sugar Chex Whiz - was syndicated in 2023. As such his breedings belong exclusively to syndicate share owners - making the foals and embryos by him a hot commodity across the rope horse industry.
If the paternal genetics weren't enough, the dam to this embryo is the Select Genes mare, Chars Gun by Playgun. Who, with the outstanding performance of Relentless PYC (by First Prize Diver), became the #3 Producing Dam Of Rope Horses in 2024. The proven genetics that back this embryo is undeniable.

The Darkk Side had another embryo selling in the February Sale, out of the performing daughter of Woody Be Tuff, CR California Tuff who earned over $65,000. The embryo brought $22,000 - continuing to establish the value of foals by The Darkk Side.
"Mares bred to him, in utero foals, and his foals on the ground have been selling phenomenally - most not even making it to the public before selling," says Ty Smith, "It makes us extremely excited for the syndicate owners."
