The bidding on Cashpoorstripperrich, a striking black stallion, just wouldn’t stop.
When the final hammer dropped at $125,000, he became the latest high-dollar performer out of Select Genes Mare Carerra Cat, a Metallic Cat daughter renowned for producing elite horses. This marks the second time one of her offspring has shattered the six-figure mark at a Solo Select sale. Among her notable progeny is Holly Cat Carrera, who, under Zane Davis, claimed the Reno RCH Futurity Championship.

Cashpoorstripperrich now joins an elite roster of high sellers out of Cudd Quarter Horse's mare Carrera Cat, including Bayside Shine, a bay stallion who sold for $150,000 in the Christmas Eve Sale, and Black Magic Woman, a black filly that commanded $180,000 at the 2023 Western Bloodstock Snaffle Bit Futurity Sale.
With yet another six-figure offspring, Carerra Cat further solidifies her reputation as a top-tier producer of performance horses.
