After four thrilling weeks of intense competition at the 2025 NCHA Super Stakes in Fort Worth, we’re proud to congratulate the first-ever champions of the Metallics MVP Stallion Incentive.
What Is the Metallics MVP Incentive?
The Metallics MVP Incentive is a program that launched this season with $120,000 in added money across the Open, Non-Pro, and Breeders Derby divisions.
With the incentive open to any eligible 4-year-old enrolled through a 2025 MVP contract — regardless of sire — this was a game-changing opportunity for competitors and breeders alike.
Designed to spotlight the World Champion standout Metallics MVP, by Metallic Cat out of My Lizzy Babe, this incentive broke new ground with broad eligibility and bold payouts — and the results did not disappoint.
Incentive Game-Changer : What the Metallics MVP Incentive Means for the Industry
The launch of the $120,000 Metallics MVP Incentive has sparked major excitement across the cutting horse industry — and for good reason. Programs like this are more than just big payouts; they’re a powerful boost to breeders, owners, and trainers who are investing their time, talent, and genetics into the next generation of athletes.
Incentives drive momentum, create fresh opportunity, and elevate the value of prospects tied to the program. In an industry built on legacy and performance, initiatives like the Metallics MVP Incentive help grow the sport by rewarding excellence and expanding access — and the buzz from this inaugural year proves the cutting world is ready for more.
Metallics MVP Offspring Division
Champion honors go to As Im Is — a standout 2021 red roan colt by Metallics MVP out of Lil Bow Wow, an NCHA money earner granddaughter of Dual Rey. Owned by Barbara Reeder and shown by Wes Reeder, this young athlete proved he's got the talent and pedigree to shine on the big stage.

Reserve Champion goes to Spookys Fabio, a 2021 gelding by Metallics MVP out of Spookys Tesla (by Dual Smart Rey). Bred and raised by the Barnes family, trained by Travis Jensen, and shown by Niki Barnes, this gelding brought the heat all week long. He is proudly owned by Jeff Barnes.

Metallics MVP Breeders Division
Champion goes to Shes a Little Freak, a talented filly that left her mark in Fort Worth. Owned by Levisay Farms and shown by Monty Buntin, she earned the top payout in this division and brought serious attention to her breeding program.

Reserve Champion honors go to Cricket Reyzin Cash, a gritty competitor shown by Mike Wood and owned by Dawn Chapman. This duo made waves in the arena and capped off an incredible run with a top-two finish.

We extend our sincere congratulations again to all the breeders and competitors who participated in the inaugural Metallics MVP Incentive. Your passion, dedication, and commitment are shaping the future of the cutting horse industry, and we couldn’t be more excited to watch this program continue to grow. The success of this first year sets the stage for future opportunities that will push the sport to new heights.
