Solo Select Horses, a leading provider of top-tier equine services, is seeking a dedicated Equine Reproduction Veterinarian to join our team. As an Equine Reproduction Veterinarian at Solo Select Horses, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, well-being, and reproductive success of our equine clientele. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing specialized veterinary care and contributing to the advancement of equine reproduction practices.

Responsibilities:

  1. Reproductive Health Management: Utilize your expertise in equine reproductive physiology to assess, diagnose, and treat reproductive disorders in mares and stallions. Implement advanced reproductive techniques such as artificial insemination, embryo transfer, and semen evaluation to optimize breeding success. Experience with follicular aspiration is not required, but preferred.

  2. Breeding Management: Oversee all aspects of the breeding process, from estrus synchronization to artificial insemination.  Provide guidance to clients on breeding decisions, including stallion management , mare management, and reproductive technologies.

  3. Client Consultation and Education: Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert consultation on all matters related to equine reproduction. Educate clients on reproductive health management, breeding protocols, and post-breeding care to promote successful outcomes.

  4. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow veterinarians, veterinary technicians, and support staff to deliver comprehensive equine veterinary services. Collaborate with external partners to facilitate seamless continuity of care.

 

Requirements:

  1. DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.

  2. Veterinary licensure in the state of practice, or eligibility for licensure.

  3. Board certification or eligibility in theriogenology (reproductive veterinary medicine) preferred.

  4. Proven experience in equine reproduction, with a strong background in reproductive physiology, breeding management, and advanced reproductive techniques.

  5. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.

  6. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality veterinary care.

  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Solo Select Horses, a premier provider of comprehensive equine services, is seeking a skilled General Practice Equine Veterinarian to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing a wide range of veterinary care services, including radiography, general equine healthcare, and reproductive work.

Responsibilities:

  1. Radiography: Utilize advanced diagnostic imaging techniques to perform radiographic evaluations of equine patients, specifically for sales. Interpret radiographic images to diagnose musculoskeletal injuries, lameness, and other orthopedic conditions accurately.

  2. General Equine Healthcare: Provide comprehensive healthcare services to equine patients, including routine wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, deworming, and preventive medicine. Diagnose and treat common equine medical conditions.

  3. Reproductive Services: Assist with reproductive procedures and breeding management, including estrus synchronization, artificial insemination, and pregnancy diagnosis. Collaborate with the equine reproduction team to support breeding programs and optimize reproductive success.

  4. Emergency Care: Respond to equine emergencies and provide urgent veterinary care as necessary. Demonstrate proficiency in emergency procedures and maintain composure in high-pressure situations.

  5. Client Consultation and Education: Build strong relationships with clients and provide personalized veterinary care recommendations based on individual horse needs. Educate clients on preventive healthcare measures, nutritional requirements, and responsible horse management practices.

  6. Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with colleagues, veterinary technicians, and support staff to deliver coordinated and effective veterinary care. Collaborate with specialists as needed to ensure comprehensive treatment plans and optimal patient outcomes.

Requirements:

  1. DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary school.

  2. Veterinary licensure in the state of practice, or eligibility for licensure.

  3. Proven experience in equine veterinary medicine, with proficiency in radiography, reproductive techniques and general care.

  5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-centered approach to veterinary care.

  6. Commitment to continuing education and staying current with advancements in equine medicine and technology.

  8. Flexibility to participate in on-call duties and weekend rotations as needed.
